在为期半年、每周两三个小时的对话中，杨荣文与作家云大篪、 研究助理叶思诚广泛思考了不同主题。杨荣文回答时参考笔记，以自己和对新加坡的期许为起点,再跨越时空山海，广泛讨论 各种主题——从人类多元化的重要性以及新加坡的内省和对世 界的反思，到历史、政治、经济、哲学、太极功和宗教。他阐述了对印度、中国、亚细安、欧洲、美国和世界其他地区的看法，以及新加坡的历史和命运与这些国家的关联。《凝思集》共三辑，本书为第二辑。

George Yeo began his career in Singapore's military and Ministry of Defence before entering politics in 1988. In his 23 years in the Singapore government, his ministerial portfolios ranged from Information and the Arts, Health, Trade & Industry, to Foreign Affairs. On leaving politics in 2011, he joined the private sector, taking on advisory roles and board memberships in various organisations and educational institutions, including Kuok Group and Kerry Logistics Network, Peking University, Nalanda University, Mitsubishi Corporation, AIA, and Pinduoduo. He is also commissioned in various capacities by the Vatican and the Holy See in Italy.



Ng Hui Min has been in the media industry for over 15 years. She took over as Foreign Editor at Lianhe Zaobao, Singapore’s leading Chinese-language daily published by SPH Media, in 2023. Prior to that, she served in various desks, covering Singapore politics, national development, defence, and briefly tried her hand at sub-editing. She also filed stories from Washington D.C. where she was residing in the mid-2010s, and was stationed in Lianhe Zaobao’s Beijing bureau for a couple of years, reporting on political, economic and social developments. Besides bringing up-to-date news and in-depth analyses to the readers, one of her main focus areas today is to work with her team to expand Zaobao’s coverage on Southeast Asia.
