Edwina Yeo is Co-founder and CEO of Supermomos, a platform for connecting with professional communities in technology, business, and finance. Supermomos has 15,000 tech, business, and finance professionals in New York City alone, including founders, investors, and operators from big tech companies and high-growth start-ups. Communities include female/AAPI and diverse founders and VCs, and AI ML Data Science and Quants.
Karho Leung is the founder and co-owner of 12 Pell, a barbershop and event space in Chinatown, New York City. Leung opened the shop in 2018 with the goal of redefining the grooming experience and changing the stigma around blue-collar workers. The shop's name comes from its street address. Leung is a former corporate accountant who was inspired to open 12 Pell after noticing that traditional New York City barbershops were run by older generations and didn't offer a space for younger Asian Americans. He wanted to create a modern, pre-paid, appointment-only experience that would give customers a unique experience and bring business back to the community. 12 Pell has become a social media phenomenon with 2.2 million followers on TikTok and is credited with helping to keep Chinatown afloat during the coronavirus pandemic.
